Embarking on the journey of bariatric surgery is not just about seeking a medical procedure, it’s about reclaiming control over your health, your future, and your life. By receiving a bariatric evaluation it’s one step closer toward a transformative path that goes beyond the physical, touching on emotional, psychological, and lifestyle changes.
As a licensed mental health counselor, Hillary will work with you to create a collaborative, nonjudgemental and safe environment to conduct your evaluation. The evaluation will assess the readiness for surgery by evaluating both the mental and physical aspects of your health.
How it works
Bariatric Evaluations are conducted via teleconference for those residing in the state of Florida.

Each evaluation involves one 1.5 hour session, another 30 minute follow up session, and a comprehensive report of the evaluation

Evaluations are completed within 7-10 days from our initial meeting.

Expedited evaluations (less than 7 days) are available for an additional fee

Late evenings available for evaluations

Follow-up & continued therapy sessions are available – please contact Hillary separately from the evaluation to get that set up

Bariatric Specific Questions
I do not accept insurances; however I can provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits. Upon receiving the superbill, it is your responsibility to call your insurance company to check your benefits.
Yes, I do provide post-surgery counseling, and I take insurance. Please feel free to email me directly or let me know during our initial meeting that you are interested in further therapy sessions.
